hello there everyone! i’m super excited about all that is in store for 2014 and i look forward to sharing some new personal projects with all of you! because the new year is a fresh start – sometimes all that newness makes us feel a little bit um, restless. (anyone with me here?) in honor of my this i wanted to share one of my favorite poems to kick off the year.
whenever i’m faced with frustration, difficult times or find myself at crossroads, i (try) to remember to come back the words of this poem:
“…be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. and the point is to live everything. live the questions now. perhaps you will then, gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” ~ rainer maria rilke from letters to a young poet
and because a post isn’t a post without a picture – this is in honor of our rainy day here on vacation (even though this one was taken far away from where we are now…)
