you are about to see of the most amazing smiles – and not just from this baby boy, but from his mom and dad too. even when they weren’t looking at the camera, you could just *tell* they were smiling. i think it has a little something to do with this handsome guy.
families feel out questionnaires before we meet so that i can understand who they are, what they are about and generally help us all be more relaxed the day of the session. ruthie’s answers were the most energetic, sweetest responses. you could just tell that she loves every bit of her family from the tops of their heads to the bottom of their toes.
and dad, well, this was his mother’s day present to his pretty wife. he get’s a gold star (or two) in my book. (hint, hint)
but often when babies come along, the family pet, sometimes takes a bit of a backseat. (a little shoutout to my pets here, since they might be wondering where i’ve been the last seven years, ha!) but in this family, ms. maggie is every bit a part of their amazing family. i mean, she was perfectly content by their sides and we even were able to take her OFF.THE.LEASH in DC! my dog (and cat too) would have been half way to the washington monument by the time i caught up to them. not maggie, she was as cool as a cucumber.
just like almost all of my photo sessions, i didn’t want this one to end, because they all had hearts of gold and smiles and personalities i could photograph all day long. thank you to the four of you for making my saturday morning so lovely. even if we had to fight a marathon race that morning to get to the photo location, it was totally worth it.
