this lovely lady is about to head off to college and i figured it was about time i blogged her session.  🙂  this session came about in a funny way – i met Kayla’s mom at a consignment sale were we were vendors next to each other – did i mention she co-owns alexandria cake pops?  (hello yummy!)   we chatted about life, kids and everything between – and when she asked if i did senior  photo sessions, i thought, why not?

i am so glad i said yes.

her daughter is amazing — sweet, smart, beautiful person and she makes me so excited for the future — i can tell she is going to take on the world in the most diplomatic of ways.  our session was held in beautiful clifton, virginia and even though rain interrupted our session, we had the chance to do a take two a few weeks later.

besides having fun with the photos, kayla helped to fill me in on what being a senior in high school is like now –  from proms to instagram to senior week – things have changed a bit since i was in school.  i’m sure college is different now too, but  one thing that i’m guessing hasn’t changed is the excitement about embarking on the next exciting adventure of your life.

so kayla as you pack up your things and get ready for the long drive to school to indiana, remember that anything you can dream you can do – and you have an amazing supportive family cheering you on in virginia.  i can’t wait to see where this next chapter in your life takes you!
