family strength | washington, dc family photographer

this family – so strong.  i mean who else would do photos outside when the windchill made it feel like 30 degrees?  (and i didn’t even cover up cold red noses!)
i really loved spending this afternoon with rachael and her guys.  after much talking about location (we originally planned on the capitol which is sadly, under construction for like 3 years!), union station ended up being the clear winner.  and after doing this session here, i realized i need to do many more – there is a beautiful park right next to all the beautiful architecture.  you really can’t go wrong with this location!  even in 30 degree weather!

but what i loved most about this family?  their strength – their ability to seem to do whatever it takes, and they have had a busy year.  new baby AND new business.  luckily we managed to find a time to fit in these sweet memories.

So should the photos.

Your wedding feels exactly like, well, you.

I’m Kelly Loss, a documentary wedding photographer in Washington D.C. and northern Virginia. For over 12 years, I’ve been photographing couples who want their wedding day to feel less like a photo shoot and more like a celebration.

By asking thoughtful questions, I’m able to capture the same meaningful moments they would have if they were the ones behind the camera.

Hi there, I'm Kelly!
