“There is nothing like staying home for real comfort” ~ Jane Austin

One of the things that I find most challenging as a parent is remembering how to slow down.  Reminding myself that rushing from one thing to the next is not what my children need.  And even though I think we all make attempts to remove the busyness from our lives, there is really an art to slowing down.

Brittany and her family have a beautiful art to savoring, respecting and cherishing weekend time.  They’ve put their heart and soul into creating a strong, gorgeous home from (literally) the ground up, which I can tell is the foundation of the amazing future for this family.

Capturing their downtime together was every bit as fun as you’ll see in the photos below.  These are my favorite moments, the ones when I capture families being who they are, Sunday mornings and all.

So should the photos.

Your wedding feels exactly like, well, you.

I’m Kelly Loss, a documentary wedding photographer in Washington D.C. and northern Virginia. For over 12 years, I’ve been photographing couples who want their wedding day to feel less like a photo shoot and more like a celebration.

By asking thoughtful questions, I’m able to capture the same meaningful moments they would have if they were the ones behind the camera.

Hi there, I'm Kelly!
