Keeping it local for an Arlington, VA wedding at Lyon Park

Filed Under:

Liz and Drew’s inspiration for their wedding day was “a fun dinner party”. A room filled with comforts of home, local vibes and big family tables filled with delicious food.

There are many amazing wedding venues, locations and spots that take your breath away, but what will always fill my heart are couples that are incredibly intentional about the feeling of their wedding day, not just how it looks. (Although in Liz & Drew’s case, this intention created one beautiful wedding!)

They wanted their wedding to be a collection of local vendors, and even better if they were in their neighborhood of Lyon Park in South Arlington, Virginia.

And even all of this coming together was awesome in its own right – let me tell you, these two, the bees knees. They are incredibly grounded, forever grateful and humans that we need more of in this world.

So enjoy Liz & Drew’s wedding day, a late fall (early November) celebration, that celebrated the best dang dinner party I’ve ever been to!

So should the photos.

Your wedding feels exactly like, well, you.

I’m Kelly Loss, a documentary wedding photographer in Washington D.C. and northern Virginia. For over 12 years, I’ve been photographing couples who want their wedding day to feel less like a photo shoot and more like a celebration.

By asking thoughtful questions, I’m able to capture the same meaningful moments they would have if they were the ones behind the camera.

Hi there, I'm Kelly!
