Microwedding at Crispus Attucks Park & Nina May in Washington DC

Filed Under:

J&T had an adorable micro-wedding in Washington, DC where they had their family join them for a beautiful pop-up ceremony in the middle of Crispus Attucks Park. The beauty of getting married in Washington DC is you can self-officiate; meaning you can get married wherever you would like, on a park bench or at other famous locations within the city. No officiant is required, just the signature and agreement of both people to enter into the marriage. I kind of feel that is the most romantic way to get married, don’t you think ?

After their sweet ceremony, we ended up walking through some of their favorite spots in Washington, DC, and finished up with an alfresco dinner at the lovely Nina-May.

So should the photos.

Your wedding feels exactly like, well, you.

I’m Kelly Loss, a documentary wedding photographer in Washington D.C. and northern Virginia. For over 12 years, I’ve been photographing couples who want their wedding day to feel less like a photo shoot and more like a celebration.

By asking thoughtful questions, I’m able to capture the same meaningful moments they would have if they were the ones behind the camera.
