Summertime wedding at the Congressional Country Club in Potomac, MD

When you decide to get married in July, you know it will be a little warm. But a 110+ heat index? There isn’t much you can prepare for that but to have a wedding inside. Luckily, Julia and Nick were being married at the gorgeous Congressional Country Club in Potomac, MD, with as many options for beautiful ceremonies inside as there are outside.

What I love about Julia and Nick is that they both took everything in stride, including them moving in the same month as their wedding. Nick was headed to law school in Michigan, so there was no rest for the two of them. Luckily, they had an awesome party to celebrate being married.

There were so many great parts to the wedding day, from Julia’s energetic grandmother, to Nick splitting his pants on the dance floor. Literally, nobody stopped dancing. Take a peak into this seemingly traditional, but bigger then life celebration of their wedding!

So should the photos.

Your wedding feels exactly like, well, you.

I’m Kelly Loss, a documentary wedding photographer in Washington D.C. and northern Virginia. For over 12 years, I’ve been photographing couples who want their wedding day to feel less like a photo shoot and more like a celebration.

By asking thoughtful questions, I’m able to capture the same meaningful moments they would have if they were the ones behind the camera.

Hi there, I'm Kelly!
